Wild Atlantic Wave

A dramatic depiction of the Atlantic Ocean at Mullaghmore, Co. Sligo, one of Ireland’s most famous big wave surf spots. A towering emerald wave curls overhead as a lone surfer, tiny against the vast dark swell, holds his line in the barrel below a stormy sky.

The palette moves from near-black water in the foreground through deep greens and teal, with foam and spray rendered in striking detail.
